Help Delaney and Valorie Rebuild After Fire

My dearest friends Delaney and Valorie, musicians and teachers, are in urgent need of our support and prayers as they have recently faced significant loss. While we are thankful that they are safe, the devastation of losing their home and battling Lyme disease has left them feeling hopeless. I am reaching out to you, my friends and allies, to ask for your help in any way possible. As we all know, every bit of support counts.
The recent fires in New Mexico have taken everything from Delaney and Valorie, including their home, car, music equipment, and personal belongings. At the same time, they are out of the country in Mexico for a chronic disease treatment program for three weeks. Delaney has been fighting chronic Lyme disease for over a decade and has been undergoing intensive daily treatments during her time in Mexico. Despite dedicating all their resources to this treatment, they have suffered a tremendous loss.
The news of their home being destroyed came at a very sensitive time, as Delaney was recovering from a painful treatment and preparing to return home. In addition to losing their belongings, they have also lost important medical equipment and tools for Delaney's Lyme treatment. As they face the challenge of rebuilding their lives, they also have to cope with the mental and physical toll of this tragedy.
Delaney and Valorie are incredibly kind, generous, and resilient individuals who have always shared their light and love with others. Valorie is a teacher, and they both rely on music for income. Delaney's family has also been affected by the fires, with her brother and father losing their homes as well. In times of need we rely on friends and family - and her immediate family is struggling and this is a time where they need our support more than ever.
We have offered them a place to stay in the interim, and of course they will be awaiting the insurance process for logistical next steps - however, we all know how long this takes and there are no guarantees as the entire municipality of Ruidoso, NM is also filing claims. There are always additional supplies, supplements, and potentially additional after-treatment care that requires cash on hand.
It is my personal believe that spirit is always weaving with us - so there is light in this experience, no matter how difficult this feels for the both of them. Please consider sending your prayers if you can take a moment - this is such an important time for our friends to know there is hope, love, and space to land.
