Support for Dad's Recovery After Devastating Car Accident

Hello everyone,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My dad, Delbert Perry, has always been the backbone of our family, waking up at 3:15 am each morning to commute over an hour to work to make a living for our family.

On June 19th at 3:55 am, my Dad was involved in a severe head-on collision that has left him with life-altering injuries. A speeding oncoming vehicle lost control and came into my Dad's lane and hit him head-on. I am thankful my dad somehow survived the crash, but he suffered severe injuries, fracturing all of his L vertebrae on his back, broken ribs, fractured sternum, and more. The doctors have informed us that he faces the possibility of paralysis as his spine has shifted. As you can imagine, this news has been incredibly difficult for all of us to process. With how severe his injuries are, his ability to work again is unknown.

My dad is a 15-year military veteran with the army and has always been the primary breadwinner for our family, working tirelessly to ensure that we have everything we need. With him now facing a long and uncertain road to recovery, my family's financial situation has become extremely precarious. He provides for my Mother who stays home to take care of my two young sisters (ages 9 and 10) as well as my little brother (age 8).
