Help Deliver Hope to Hurricane Helene Victims

Donation protected
Thank you for taking the time to consider contributing to my mission to help those in North Carolina recently devastated by Hurricane Helene.

My name is Isaiah “Izzy” Stover, and I am a General Contractor splitting my time between Cape Cod and Nantucket, MA. My wife, Kathleen, and I have four sons: Gabe (18), J.J. (7), Xander (6), and Finn (4). I will be filling up a trailer and driving down to North Carolina on Thursday, October 10, 2024, to deliver supplies in demand. I will stay for one week, deliver these goods, and apply my skills wherever they are needed most.

Why am I going?

To whom much is given, much will be required (Luke 12:48). Many of us have heard the story of Micah Drye on the news. He was a seven-year-old boy when floodwaters, from record-breaking rainfalls in Hurricane Helene’s wake, tore him from his mother’s arms in Asheville, North Carolina. As parents, we feel helpless whenever anything happens to our children. To experience what Micah’s mother, Meghan Drye, had endured, is unthinkable. We have a seven-year-old son, Josiah, and to think of anything happening to him like that has torn my heart out of my chest. I saw that news report while sitting in my warm and dry living room, with my healthy kids playing in the background and my wife working on a family photo album at the kitchen table. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that this is our reality, but for thousands of other Americans, their reality was just cruelly altered. We are so fortunate, and to juxtapose that to what is happening to the victims of Helene stirred up a call to action in me to help these victims through this travesty. Their lives will never be the same again, and it will take them a decade to rebuild their community. At this time, we don’t know how many homes were destroyed. People had to flee even the temporary shelters that were set up. There are hundreds of people killed to date, with several hundred more missing. Their community is cut off from the outside world with their roads washed out, and they are desperate for help.

What Can You Do?
I have set up this GoFundMe to raise money for basic supplies, food, and water for the thousands impacted by this tragedy and sincerely thank you for whatever you can do to support this mission. Please consider these victims, what they are going through, and make a donation. 100% of all funds raised will be used to purchase the goods these people so desperately need. If ever you felt you wanted to do something but cannot physically be there, your monetary contribution along with thoughts and prayers will greatly help.
