Help Deliver Life-Saving Aid to Bugena, N. Wello, Ethiopia

ይድረስ ለቅን ኢትዮጵያዊያን በሙሉ። ዛሬ የፈርንጆች በዓልን ስናከበር በሀገራችን ግን በተቃራኒው የሚቀመስ አጥተው አጥንታቸው የገጠጠ የህጻናት ምስል የአለምን ትኩረት ስቧል። ከእኛ በቀር ማንም የላቸውምና ለእነዚህ ወገኖቻችን እንድንደርስላቸው እንጠይቃለን። የሕይወት ስጦታ ልንሰጣቸው እንሰባሰብ። የማንኛውም መጠን ልገሳ ይጠቅማልና የሚችሉትን ይለግሱ።

GARE is a non-political, non-partisan human rights advocacy and humanitarian nonprofit organization registered both in the USA and Ethiopia. The Bugena woreda located in Northern Wello zone of the Amara region has suffered from man-made and natural drought and flooding since the 1970s. The security situation and natural disasters have disrupted farm production, the livelihood of the community, for the last three years. Several hundred victims of the crisis have been displaced to makeshift shelters. The IDPs are facing famine and they are already starving. Children are malnourished and some have died according reports on BBC and VOA. GARE is collaborating with World Vision and the American Embassy in Ethiopia to make sure emergency assistance is directly delivered to the victims. We ask humbly that you think of our less fortunate “wegen” this holiday season. Let’s come together to give them gift of life. A donation of any amount will go a long way to save one child’s life. We hope to supply each child with nutritional supplements, blankets, and other essential supplies.
