Help Demetres with Unexpected Medical Bills

Hi, my name is Kristi and I will be helping Demetres fundraise for his medical bill costs. I thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this.

On September 16, Demetres was riding home on his motorized skateboard from his first job before heading to his second. A driver made a blind right turn on 8th Ave assuming he was clear. This resulted in Demetres being unable to stop in time to avoid a collision with the car and injuring his left leg. Though the driver did stop, he stated that he was uninsured and left before any authorities came. Demetres had to call 911 himself and get an ambulance to deliver him to the ER. After multiple tests and many hours of waiting, he was told that he had a fractured tibia and torn acl.

Demetres is currently focusing on recovering from his leg injury full-time and still needs to get surgery for his acl. Due to the unexpected medical costs associated with the accident and being unable to work at this time, any support during his time of need is greatly appreciated.

Demetres is a very active person and was an avid climber before his injuries. He was very excited to join his first climbing competition but sadly, his climbing days are going to have to wait. Acl recovery will be around 9 months to a year. Currently, Demetres is depressed by his inability to do the active things that he loves including biking, climbing and hiking.

All funds raised will be going toward Demetres' current and future medical bills associated with this injury from the hit and run.
