Help Denece Oplinus Fight Cancer
Donation protected
Hello everyone, we know this is a long shot, but me and my family are starting this GoFundMe for my mom, Denece Oplinus. She was diagnosed with metastatic undifferentiated carcinoma that has spread to her lymph node in the neck. Its currently listed as CUP which is cancer of unknown primary. This cancer was found because my mom is disabled and has hardened arteries and had a CT scan done of her chest. They found a lump in her lung. Biopsied that. (But did not get a good sample). A PET Scan after that showed the lymph node cancer. The Lymph node was biopsied. and came back positive. We still don't know much, but what we do know is that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes; it did not originate there. She recently had a mammogram and a breast ultrasound, which have come back as abnormal. She is will have a biopsy soon to confirm if she has breast cancer. Her oncologist said that if she does have breast cancer, it is a separate cancer on its own, and that the cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes did not originate there. Her oncologist highly suspects that it is lung cancer, but a biopsy to confirm that would cause her lung to collapse and they are holding off on that. She has a lot of tests coming up, and she is scheduled to get her port put in, as her oncologist and the panel do not want to continue to wait and let the cancer spread even more. She is currently set to have two rounds of chemo and then they will reevaluate. Both my mom and dad are on disability, and the inevitable medical bills are coming in. Every visit to the oncologist is 35 dollars. And there are copays for treatments and tests. Plus my mom takes care of my dad. So the ability to hire someone to come clean or cook would be a godsend. So any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. We will continue to post updates as we receive the information, and we would greatly appreciate any prayers you have for her and for our family.
