Help Deneva through breast cancer recovery

 

 

 

Hello,

 

My name is Deneva, and this is my first GoFundMe.

 

I am seeking financial assistance from loved ones and others that are willing to listen to my story, and create a difference in my life. Being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of twenty-four in June of 2021 brought initial shock; shortly after, it brought an overwhelming amount of fear into my life. Luckily, within a short period of time, I was able to undergo a unilateral mastectomy with reconstruction in August 2021, and I am currently recovering from the surgery. However, I will continue to have further medical tests done for the remainder of my life since I decided to save my healthy breast, and medication will be needed to prevent cancer recurrence. However, my fertility will be at risk due to the medication; thus, IVF egg retrieval would be essential for preserving fertility. There is a future possibility for another mastectomy with reconstruction surgery and/or chemotherapy; especially since I am now considered high-risk due to my age, and the constant fear of recurrence will continue to linger. Attempting to process everything since my breast cancer diagnosis has been challenging. Despite the difficulty to maintain strength and levelheadedness with a potential life-threatening disease, positivity and optimism prevails within myself. Despite the unknown, I am willing to continue my fight; fight to live; not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well.

 

I hope that you have taken the time to watch a video I created two months ago after receiving my breast cancer diagnosis. Any donation would be much appreciated; especially with the financial strain that this has caused since I am also unemployed. Whether or not you can financially assist me, I hope that you can at least share my post. I also hope that my video or this post has inspired you to push through whatever trials and tribulations you are going through; that you are also strong despite feeling weak; that you also have the courage to ask for help when needed, as I am doing so now.
