Help Denise Bacon get Her Bone Marrow Biopsy

Donation protected
My name is Karla and I started this fundraiser for Denise Bacon. Anyone that has ever met Denise knows what an amazing, sweet and giving woman she is. She has spent her life helping others. She is in a tough place right now and trying hard to get her life back. She has an insurance copay of $3187.00 for a bone marrow biopsy that could change her life. She can’t afford it and must have it done. Please help her get it. Dig into your pockets. Every little bit adds up and helps. The following are Denise’s words:July-Oct 2019 I was having numbness and tingling in my left hand. I was at work at the hospital the 26th making a heating pad for a patient and lost everything on the left hand and arm... was just  dangling there.
I had been seeing a chiropractor because I thought maybe I just had a pinched nerve.  My coworker noticed and told charge nurse, who sent me down to ER. I passed all stroke tests, smile, stick tongue out, pronator drift and she agreed to let me just go home.  I drove home, went to bed. The next morning my hubby went to work and noticed facial droop. Me and my son drove to ER (different hospital because I didn't want to face my coworkers), and I knew the Dr from working EMS as EMT and he said... Denise. you have facial droop!! I went to CT, confirmed  4 strokes and I was life flighted me to Spokane... platelets in millions. A  bone marrow biopsy was performed and results said Essential  thrombocytosis My hubby decided it's time to move to Arizona to get better healthcare and be close to my family to help me. I couldn't drive, lift my arm, open it, make a fist, nothing.  I moved here in April... got amazing physical Therapy and occupational Therapy which has helped a lot. My Hematologist says I have myelofibrosis not ET.  My Dr wants to do bone marrow biopsy now to compare to the one taken last year to confirm if the disease is progressing.  I take chemotherapy medication to reduce platelets so I don't have another stroke.    After the biopsy,  he will be able to get a game plan and see if we stay on meds, change  meds, or need a bone marrow transplant.
