Help Denise Alvarado to Recovery

Hello, my name is Monse I’m starting this fundraiser to help with my sisters medical bills. On September 11th 2023 my sister Denise suffered a medical emergency, she was rushed to the hospital where she had an emergency surgery and has been in the three different intensive care units ever since. Denise has been diagnosed with a neurological disease called Anti-NMDAR Encephalitis. This autoimmune disorder causes her body to create antibodies that disrupt normal brain signaling and cause brain swelling. Denise is on an aggressive treatment plan and is slowly recovering. This recovery process can take up to 2 years.

With all the Hospital transfers and the intense care my parents and i have been taking turns taking off of work to help with my sister’s medical needs. It’s been a challenging time with all the unplanned medical expenses that are cropping up. So we are reaching out to our community, family and friends during this hard time to help us in a time of need. My family and I would appreciate any donation that can be made towards this cause. Hola, mi nombre es Monse. Estoy comenzando esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar con las facturas médicas de mis hermana. El 11 de septiembre de 2023 mi hermana Denise sufrió una emergencia médica, la llevaron de urgencia al hospital donde fue operada de emergencia y desde entonces ha estado en tres unidades de cuidados intensivos diferentes. A Denise le han diagnosticado una enfermedad neurológica llamada encefalitis anti-NMDAR. Este trastorno autoinmune hace que su cuerpo cree anticuerpos que interrumpen la señalización normal del cerebro y provocan inflamación del cerebro. Denise sigue un plan de tratamiento agresivo y se está recuperando lentamente. Este proceso de recuperación puede tardar hasta 2 años. Con todos los traslados al hospital y la atención intensa, mis padres y yo nos hemos turnado para ausentarnos del trabajo para ayudar con las necesidades médicas de mi hermana. Ha sido un momento difícil con todos los gastos médicos no planificados que están surgiendo. Por eso nos acercamos a nuestra comunidad, familiares y amigos durante este momento difícil para que nos ayuden en un momento de necesidad.
