Help Denise and Ric Build a Wheelchair Ramp

Most of you know Denise and I both have multiple sclerosis. In fact, that's how we met, getting a once-a-month infusion back in 2008. We were married on January 10th, 2010—best thing to ever happen to me. As I write this today, April 7th, my legs still work; they are weak and tired but still working.

Niecie spent 20 days in Autumn Care rehab, but she is still very, very weak and struggling to walk short distances with a walker. She can't get out of our house because we have 6 steps, so I can't get her to doctor appointments or anything. We have had estimates from wheelchair ramp companies all over $7,000, which seems so very high.

I've never begged for anything in my life, and I don't take any pride in posting this, but we need help. I know many of you are in the same situation as we are, and I understand and pray for you. If you are in a position to help, just know that we both appreciate it more than any words I can write. If this doesn't sit well with you, please forgive me.

We are blessed with many wonderful friends, and for that, I am grateful. This is not on the same subject, but I prayed one night while Niecie was in rehab and promised the Lord that since I have never been baptized, if He would help Niecie get stronger and bring her back home to us, I would be baptized. I plan on being baptized this summer over in Shenandoah, in the Shenandoah River, by the same church and location where my father was baptized in the 1930s.
