Help Denise Save Her Home and Retire Peacefully

Donation protected
Hi all! Today we need to ask for your help. This is my mother in law, Denise. She is a grandma to our two little ones, loves dogs, and enjoys giving where she can (definitely think her love language is gift giving). She has had a hard go at life the past several years, but was able to live the past couple of years in her own house with her faithful pups, Libby and Maisie. She has been living off of social security with medicare and has had financial struggles. Denise was recently admitted to the hospital with dementia-like symptoms, with an MRI showing past history of possible seizure, stroke, or blood clot damage to her brain. After asking around, some of her neighbors provided us with stories that left us worried about her physical wellbeing due to her mental decline. We've since helped Denise move into a nursing home where she can get round the clock care, and we are hoping she can get well enough to move into an assisted living facility next year! :) We're working with some agencies to get her nursing/assisted living costs covered, but she has some outstanding medical bills, taxes, and debts that she will never be able to cover, as she will not be able to work again. This is where we ask for your help. Because Denise has not been able to keep up on her taxes and debts, she now faces foreclosure on her house. This is a property she wished to sign over to my husband and I upon moving out, but there are now so many financial factors that leave us weary and confused about moving into the house - she cannot sign the house over until her taxes are paid, but we don't have the savings to pay them for her. The county has threatened that they WILL begin the foreclosure process if the taxes are not paid by January 2025, or if substantial payments aren't being made. If we do not pay, Denise loses the house, and with it the money she paid it off with. On top of this, her other outstanding bills leave her unable to simply retire in peace without filing for bankruptcy. We are asking you to help us just as much as we are asking for you to help Denise. Help our family. We ask you for your support in any capacity, big or small. Help Denise retire peacefully and keep her home in the family, as she desires. The fundraiser goal is a lower estimation or her debt, as we are still figuring out the exact number. Any and all proceeds that exceed Denise' taxes and debt will be donated to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul in Cincinnati.
