Help Dennis Reyes on his Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Dennis Reyes started his journey as a salad maker in Chapel Hill, NC on March 7th, 2021. Within a very short time, Dennis became an Expert Chopr opening 3 new locations (Perimeter, East Cobb, and Newtown) where according to Vu, he was the star of the team. Dennis' hard work paid off and he was promoted to Shift Supervisor last February. Dennis is self-motivated, has a passion for learning, a passion for teaching, and continually strives to be better than he was yesterday. He truly exemplifies and embodies all of CHOPTs Core Values and demonstrates them every day he comes to work. What you may not know about Dennis is that his connection to Chopt and our values runs extremely deep since his father, Benjamin Reyes, was one of our founding team members who opened up our very first Chopt restaurant with Tony and Colin back in 2001 and became one of Chopt NYC's top General Managers over his long tenure. Sadly, Benjamin passed away tragically in 2015 and those of us who were lucky enough to work with him still miss his presence and his leadership to this day. When Dennis reached out to let us know he was moving down to North Carolina and wanted to work with us at a Chopt in Raleigh, we were ecstatic and we see many of the same qualities that made Benjamin so successful alive in Dennis.
Unfortunately, this past weekend Dennis was in a horrific accident fracturing a rib and 2 vertebrae; one was an unstable fracture that required immediate surgery. Dennis is currently recovering and in good spirits. He hopes to be out of the hospital later this week, however, he has a very long road to recovery.
All the money raised will go to Dennis to help him and his family with his medical bills and personal expenses while he is recovering from his injuries and is unable to work. Anything you can contribute to this fundraiser will be greatly appreciated and bring a positive note to Dennis during this difficult time.
