Help Denver Become a Therapy Dog!
Donation protected
Hey everyone! I’m Sarah and trying to help my friend Danny Kesler raise money to send his pup, Denver, to therapy dog training to help other first responders that need a little joy in the event of a traumatic incident. Every day, first responders, such as EMT’s, paramedics, firefighters, & police officers see traumatic events, work with sad situations, and a lot often develop PTSD from these events. Although he is already a good boy, getting Denver this training will help others that need a little spark of joy after these events. We always have those calls that haunt us and who doesn’t love a sweet, fluffy pup to help us.
The training is $3,195 and that includes: basic manners for the dog, as well as meeting a friend training, off leash training, and even personalized greeting and obedience. It will help him become certified to work with others in the event of a crisis. I am setting a goal for $5,000 so that the extra can help with a badge, vest and pamphlets on Denver.
A little about Denver:
He is a one year old AKC golden retriever who never meets a stranger and is best friends with everyone. Ball is life for Denver, as well as truck rides! He is a good boy who just loves to make everyone smile.
Danny has been a paramedic for 11 years. Coming from Pennsylvania, he moved to South Carolina several years ago and currently works EMS in the upstate. He is wanting to join the Upstate FAST team, which helps other first responders after they run calls that no other person would think of running. He wants to get Denver certified as a therapy dog so that he can have him with him at critical stress debriefing sessions to help and comfort other first responders, just as Denver helps him.
Danny is so passionate about doing this for others. I see it from just working with him. He loves to help others and I know it would mean so much to him to send Denver to this training.
Please help if you can! If you can’t give a monetary donation, please share to get the word out! Any help is appreciated.
