We're the Denver chapter of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a body of university students on fire for social justice, diversity, and empowerment. We're not just about talking—we're about action. We challenge the status quo and advocate for a more equitable and just society, right here on campus and beyond.
The Opportunity of a Lifetime
On October 14th-15th, a pivotal event is happening: The 17th Annual National Convention of Students for a Democratic Society at the University of Illinois Chicago. It's not just a meeting. It's a crucible for change. Under the rallying cry, "Students Defend Education, Unions Strike Back!", we will be part of something bigger than ourselves.
Here's What We're Going to Do There
- Immerse in powerful dialogues defending educational quality, diversity, and the right to protest
- Learn from trailblazers who are facing insurmountable odds yet continuing to fight for what's right
- Return fired-up, with new tools and strategies to level up our activism in Denver
Our Financial Roadblock (and How You Can Smash It)
We've got the will, but we need a way. Specifically, a way to get to Chicago. We need to send six more of our committed members, and the cost of each ticket is around $200. That's a total of $1,200 we need to raise. We're already sending eleven of our members who have self-funded their tickets, and we're looking to remove any financial to attendance for our fellow members.
And that's where you come in.
