Help Derek and Hannah with medical expenses

Hello family and friends. I’m reaching out to you all with a heavy heart and am trying to find the words to share my purpose to reaching out to you.

My son Derek and his beautiful wife Hannah are having their sweet baby girl tomorrow. Unfortunately it’s not the happy story that most new parents will experience. Sweet Jovie Clementine has a lethal form of skeletal dysplasia. The unfortunate reality of what should be a happy time in their lives is that baby Jovie will not survive because her tiny little lungs will not be able to support her.

Through all of this, Derek and Hannah have put their complete faith in the Lord and are doing their very best to create beautiful memories of Jovie’s life safe inside her mother’s womb.

Through all they’ve experienced this year, moving half way across the country while raising my beautiful little granddaughters, they’ve continued to be the best parents while trying to create a legacy for baby Jovie.

Hannah will have an extensive medical team by her side tomorrow as she prepares for Jovie’s birth. She will be in excellent hands and I’m confident the Hands of God will be at work.

My first request is whether you are a praying person or are willing to send good, loving thoughts their way, I know they will both feel the heartfelt prayers being extended as far as the east to the west and everywhere in between.

My second request is for their medical bills to be completely covered. The pain of carrying a child to full term only to have to bury her shortly thereafter is something no parent should have to endure. My prayer is that the financial burden be completely covered. They will grieve for as long as they need to grieve, while still loving and supporting each other and taking care of their little ones at home.

Please…if God places it in your heart to give, would you consider helping them? Any amount, big or small, I know God can grow that!
