HELP Desiree conquer 'Non Hodgkins's Lymphoma'

'Desiree'.. Resiliant, beautiful, young, fit, passionate, happy, these are just a few words that describe Desiree. A single mum, 56 years old, she has had her fair share of battles along her way, however nothing like the battle she faces in the coming months. On Monday January 29th 2024, Desiree took herself off to hospital, knowing she was unwell after feeling a large swelling in her abdomen. Desiree had spent just one night in her new home in Gosford, in which she had moved into that weekend for her relaively new job which she just loved and could not stop talking about!. It took just 24 hours to find a large mass behind her pancreas, the 5 days following, numerous lesions were detected, sadly a biopsy from her groin confirmed 'Agressive non hodgin's lymphoma' - Desiree went from a fit, motivated, normal mid fifties lady who had previously been a body buider, PT trainer, horse rider to CANCER of a most agressive form. One week her life has changed to a place that no one would wish for.

The treatment program has begun, the preparation for her vigorous Chemotherpy will mean that Desiree will suffer great side effects.

This will be a fight no one should have to face, so young, so fit!

With limited money in reserve, her medical, life expenses will be ongoing plus not sustainable for her recovery, recuperation and return to health.

Desiree remains in the Cancer Ward at Gosford Hospital.
