Help Desiree After Eaton Canyon Fire
Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this.
I'm Desiree, a 29 year old female with two dogs. Nice to meet you!
The Eaton Canyon fire completely devastated and destroyed my city.
Altadena, the city I grew up in, went up in flames and wasted no time in destroying everything.
My home, my pets, my car, everything is gone. I'm now homeless and in need of help. I'm looking to raise money for a vehicle and a temporary place to stay while everything gets sorted out. My goal is to get a vehicle I can work and live in until further notice. As of now, I have just enough to be in a hotel for a couple of days; then it's to the streets or friends' houses.
Please, if you can, a donation would be amazing. If you cannot donate, please look into resources or ways you can help my beautiful city, including all the families impacted.
Pasadena Humane Society is in need of dog and cat items: blankets, bowls, towels.
Local shelters and churches could also use your support in donations as well: common hygiene items, clothes you no longer use.
Thank you.

This was my beautiful home. 70+ years in the family. I grew up here, my mother grew up here, tons of cousins, grandchildren, brothers and sisters were raised here.
As of January 8th, this is the same entrance

I look at that hand rail that is still standing and think about doing flips on it when I was a child. I think about all the times I walked up and down that ramp. What wonderful memories I've had on that porch.
