Desta is NYC’s beloved sweetheart, known for lighting up every room he enters and creating beauty and connections wherever he goes. Unfortunately, he is now facing a challenging battle after recently being diagnosed with colon cancer.

This heartbreaking news arrived just as the company he worked for announced its permanent closure.

The intensity of his treatment will prevent him from seeking employment, making it essential for us to come together as a community to support him during this difficult time.

While insurance covers basic medical needs, several valuable holistic treatments and meal services that could aid in his healing are not included. Additionally, the high cost of living in New York City adds to the financial strain.
