Destiny - Glendale Westgate Shooting Victim

Donation protected
She was one of three innocent victims of at the Westgate. Shooting.  She had been stuck in the house. Her friend wanted to buy some clothes and she wanted to go shopping with him at Westgate since the malls were open again. They wore their mask and maintained social distance. They stopped at their favorite place to eat, they  picked up their order. They sat down at one of the tables and more people joined them. Destiny asked if they could move across the way for social distance and they moved. They didn’t know they had sat in the direct path of a killer. She had just called home to be picked up in front of Johnny Rockets. Thereafter, Destiny notice someone running and then heard what she was sure were gun shots. When she turned, she was horrified by what she saw, all she could say was RUN! Both her and her friend started running, everyone started moving. She didn’t know that this mad man had targeted her and her friend. He followed them and she knew. She didn’t have to look back he was coming for her. She heard  more shots and then her legs collapsed and she fell straight down. All she could feel was pain and saw blood gushing out everywhere (the gunman shot out two bones and shredded  two arteries). Then she knew she had to get up. He was still coming, she knew he was going to shoot her again in the back. She didn’t care about her broken leg, she pulled and dragged her body above the rocks and behind a tree. Before she crawled up on the rocks. She saw her friend stop and turn toward her and she saw him get shot. He fell and she remained quiet behind the tree. The shooter was gone... the killer didn’t leave them money for all the medical and life expenses, he had just created. Or for what was on the horizon, the possibility of loosing her leg. All the physical therapy. All the trauma therapy,  the nightmares that continues nightly.  It’s become a difficult journey. Each hour, that goes by, you hope your one artery is still working. That’s when the nurses come to check to see if your pulse, is still beating in your feet. She silently prays that this will not be the day, they take her leg. Much is needed, as she continues her recovery  in the Intensive Care Unit. Much will be needed to recover from her multiple surgeries, Not just for what was lost, new clothes, broken phones or scratched glasses. Much will be needed for healing,  for possible wheel chairs or prosthetic AND help with unknown hospital bills. Weeks of physical and emotional therapy. Help to hide her from the man that is still chasing her. The many nights of gasping for air and screaming he’s coming. The one she swears is watching her from the window or walking by her door. Help that will move her forward to enjoy life again, to sit outside and enjoy a nice lunch with her friend again. Her lost was great, but your donation will help ease her pain. As she moves forward on her new journey of life, to finish high school. We thank you for your generous donation for Destiny. First and foremost, we are thankful she lives We continue to ask for prayers and thank you to everyone, the first responders. The wonderful staff at the hospital. A special thank you to the nurse and her husband that assisted me. For the kind gentleman that held my head in his lap, trying to calm me down. Thank you to everyone who has helped...
