Help Devin Brisco get an attorney

Devin Brisco is a 20 year old boy who had the odds stacked against him his entire life. As two black kids living in a small rural town in Oklahoma, he and his older brother were constantly harassed by teachers, police, fellow peers, etc. His older brother was eventually arrested for a petty crime and is currently serving his 7th year in prison.
Devin has lived in the same small town where the police know his brother’s history and have moved on to harassing him, coming to his house at random, always watching and over-policing. Within the first week of living at the new house he was renting, someone vandalized his home with “f*ck n****ers” on the outside wall. He was never welcomed back into the town he called home nearly his entire life.
Shortly after his mom passed away in October 2019, Devin began to self-medicate for his anxiety. He was found with Xanax pills in January and is now facing ten years in prison. He was alone in his suffering during those months. The public defender he was assigned advised him to waive his own preliminary hearing and Devin is now up against a ten year sentence, for a drug charge! There has to be a better deal. This is railroading black kids into the system!
We have found him a competent attorney in Oklahoma City who has looked into his case, but his fees to continue are $3500 which he requires prior to Devin’s next hearing on May 28. He wrestled at the state level during his high school years in Oklahoma and California, he rode bulls and horses throughout his life, and he has worked hard at everything he has set his mind to. He is young and lost control while grieving, but he does not deserve to spend 10 years in prison. PLEASE help our family raise the money to save my cousins life!
