Help Dharma Shakti Take a Sabbatical
Donation protected
After nearly two decades of dedicated service to the Long Beach community, Dharma needs a well deserved break to rest and focus on her health. Known for transforming a small yoga meetup into the thriving Yoga on the Bluff, Dharma has consistently devoted her life to providing a space for the community to come together and practice all things yoga. Now, as she takes a step back to focus on her well-being, it’s our chance to support her.
Dharma is a pillar in the wellness community, offering an inclusive and welcoming space at her donation-based yoga studio, Yogalution Movement & Wellness. There, her and her team provide various healing modalities such as massage, intuitive bodywork, somatic therapy, acupuncture, reiki, EFT tapping, meditation, breathwork, philosophy classes, mindfulness mentorship, high performance coaching, soundbaths, and seasonal workshops, events, and programs. Dharma created this space to foster peace and meaningful change, allowing individuals in the community to experience deep personal transformation.
Living from the heart, Dharma strives to make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of financial situation, socioeconomic status, race, religion, spiritual or non-spiritual beliefs, age, or gender expression. Her goal is to provide tools and knowledge for health and well-being, helping individuals achieve balance in body, mind, and spirit. She genuinely cares for others, encouraging her students to grow and live empowered, authentic lives.
During her sabbatical, one of the projects Dharma will focus on is a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training program, which will allow yoga students to continue their education and sharpen their skills when working with the community. She will have the time to create in-depth learning material, prepare, and organize the 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training, ensuring it follows the Yoga Alliance guidelines.
To take this much-needed sabbatical and focus on her health, we need the generous support of the community to make this possible for Dharma. Your contributions will give her the freedom to temporarily step back from her obligations, allowing her the rest and recovery she needs to restore her health, while also covering her basic living expenses for herself and her two sons. Additionally, a portion of the funds raised will go towards paying the Yogalution team to keep the studio running smoothly during Dharma’s break.
Please consider donating to help Dharma take this time to heal and rest. Your generosity will be deeply appreciated and will help ensure she can continue her invaluable work in the community.
