Help Diamond Go Away for School

Hi Ms. Fears and I are trying to help our former student raise money to attend college in Georgia.

Here is a blurb from Diamond:

My name is Diamond Smith, an alumni of Launch from 2016 to 2019, graduate of the Class of 2019. Launch taught me what community is and what it is to be a part of one. Launch opened up the possibility of college to me by naming our classes by colleges our teachers attended. Launch opened my eyes to what life is beyond middle and high school. College!

My hope and dream is to attend Albany State University and graduate with my bachelors degree in May 2027. My major is Sociology and I would love to minor in their amazing Criminology program.

My initial plan was to take out a student loan, unfortunately I cannot get a loan without a creditworthy cosigner. My mother even tried a Parent PLUS loan and got denied. I asked ASU to max me out on my federal loans and it’s left me with a balance of $3,500.My new plan of action is to do a payment plan. I’ve worked my whole senior year and summer to save money for college. I am reaching out to Launch to help me with my remaining fees so I can attend school in 2 weeks.

With the money I saved, my parents help and yours I believe I can make my dream come true.
