Help Diana kick Cancer
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for our mom Diana Butler, who is in her final attempt to tackle Cancer. Our Mom is a loving wife, mother of three, community activist, daughter, grandmother, sister, friend and so much more. I'm sure most of you know her story. About 2 years ago her cancer journey began with just a small lump on her neck. Shortly after she was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Devastating. Yet we were hopeful as Hodgkin’s was said to be "one of the most treatable forms of cancer if found early." And so the journey began. She underwent several chemotherapy treatments with different cocktail drugs as well as radiation with little to no avail. Doctors had become unsure of just how to handle this as it was supposed to be the "easy kind". Treatment after treatment; more confusion. After meeting with multiple oncologists, radiologists, and trial physicians they have now determined that she will need a stem cell transplant. She’s been told treatment will be an aggressive combination of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant to follow. She will be in the hospital for 3 weeks then moved to a "clean house" for 2-3 months, where she will have to provide herself with 24-hour care. One of the strongest people we know needs help. Cancer not only comes with a heavy burden health-wise, but also with a heavy price tag. Over the past two years we have watched as our mom’s bills have grown with medical expenses, scans/treatments that are not covered by insurance, cost of travel to appointments, lodging, prescriptions, and now the added expense of care and arranged housing after her transplant. We would love for you to consider joining us by helping her with a donation. Every little bit helps and will give her one less thing to worry about during this incredibly difficult time. We also want to recognize and thank all of you who have shown up for her in the most profound ways. Our family appreciates your love, support, and prayers. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us hold up our Mom during a time when she needs it most. Thank you all, Diana's daughters
