Help Diane Create a Community Yoga Sanctuary

Hello everyone, 

My name is Diane Murphy  and I am thrilled to have been offered a space to open my healing sanctuary in Falmouth Maine that I am calling Soul Purpose Sanctuary: A Refuge for Your Mind, Body and Spirit

MY STORY:

I found Yoga over 20 years ago after a painful divorce and having multiple challenges in my life (single mother of 4, working full-time and attending school, dealing with anxiety, depression and an eating disorder).

Over these years I have found Yoga to be such a beneficial practice on my own healing journey.

I began my training to be a Yoga teacher in 2011 and started sharing these practices with my patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. It was so powerful to observe how those patients who were suffering from addiction and/or mental health issues experience calm and relaxation.

It became my passion and part of my life's mission to share Yoga as well as other healing modalities and spirituality with as many people as I can because I believe that healing the world begins with healing ourselves!

I humbly ask your assistance with getting this beautiful, sacred, healing space up and running to its most vibrant capacity! 


This space will be open to the community to experience a variety of healing modalities that will include:

*Multiple types of yoga and meditation classes for ALL ages and abilities

*A Sacred Sunday Service that will include some gentle movement, music, meditation and community connection

*Reiki energy work

*Massage and other energy healing modalities

*Women's Wellness Series

*Prenatal, Postnatal and Mom and Baby classes

*1:1 Yoga, meditation, coaching and mentoring 

*Trauma-informed movement and meditation classes

*Yoga Nidra

*Meditation/chanting circle

*Monthly scholarships for those unable to pay for classes:
            >One for graduates of substance use or mental health treatment program 
            >One for financially challenged individuals 

Here's a breakdown of the costs to get this sacred space up and running to help our community find relief from chronic stress and overwhelm:

1) eco-friendly props that are easily cleaned in between uses: $1500
2) 3 months rent/monthly fees to cover until the space is financially viable: $4800
3) 3 months pay for my EXTREMELY gifted and skilled teachers: $3600
4) insurance: $1100
5) initial start-up legal fees: $500
6) branding, logo, website: $1800
7) Two scholarships for the first year of business: $2500
8) miscellaneous costs: signage, marketing, etc: $2000


Approximate Total: $18,000

*Donate $1200 and receive a ONE YEAR unlimited studio membership (includes one free workshop)

*Donate $1200 for one year of scholarship monies (each month a new student will receive a FREE unlimited studio membership)

*Donate $700 and receive 6 mos unlimited membership

*Donate $500 and receive a free Soul Purpose Astrology Reading (includes personalized yoga class and recorded meditation)

*Donate $200 and receive a free 1:1 yoga or Reiki session w/aromatherapy

*Donate $100 and receive a free t-shirt
