Help Diane fight single cell lung cancer!

Donation protected
In August my mom, Diane Gray, was diagnosed with extensive single-cell lung cancer. She went into the ER because she was having terrible back pain, and then they noticed a few spots...and then a few more. Her cancer has spread from her lungs and has caused her tremendous pain. She has started chemotherapy and immunotherapy in order to reduce her pain and let her live as normal a life as possible, but sadly, her cancer will not go away forever. At this stage, there is no cure. But it can be treated in order to make sure she is comfortable and gets to enjoy as much time as possible.

I started typing this a few months ago, but we didn’t want to post it right before the holidays. We did get some great news between the time I typed the first paragraph and now—my mom had an MRI and the cancer shrunk more than they even expected, so she is finished with chemo. She will continue with immunotherapy for the time being.

She has been unable to work during this time. Because of her diagnosis, she will receive disability, and her application was even rush approved. However, despite them quickly approving it, you still cannot receive any disability checks until 6 months after the diagnosis. We could use some help with living expenses, medical bills, and medications. I’d also love to be able to take her on a trip during spring or summer break if she’s feeling up to it—or at least a nice weekend away! Any help is greatly appreciated.
