Help Diane Herring move into assisted living!

Hello friends and community,
My mother, Diane Herring, is in need of help. As you might know, my mom has been living with end stage COPD for many years. Her health has drastically declined over the past few years, and she is now at a place where she needs more care than we can provide on our own.
Diane has been in the hospital and now a rehab center for several weeks. However, it has become very clear that she can’t go back to her house. My father is unable to care for her, and my parent’s house is unsafe and unsuitable for my mother to live in.
The time has come for my mom to move into assisted living. I have been working with the wonderful director of Brookdale in West Seattle to get placed as soon as she is admitted from the rehab facility.
Unfortunately, the only way to afford the care that she needs and deserves is to sell my parent’s house. My mother’s pension and social security will only cover less than half of the amount needed per month to live at an assisted living facility. And unfortunately, my mother does not qualify for Medicaid.
I am working with real estate agents and other folks to help sell the house as quickly as possible. However, my mother is going to need to move into an assisted living facility in the next few weeks.
There are Senior Bridge Loans available–however, my family does not qualify to take out the loan without another guarantor to sign on the loan.
So instead, So, I am hoping to help raise some funds to help offset the cost until the house is sold in a few months.
My family would so appreciate your care and generosity! Anything you can contribute would be extremely helpful and mean so much to us.
Most of you will remember my mom for her big heart, zealous spirit, and her undying support and care for those she loves. She has worked so hard her whole life and has struggled so much with her health. She truly deserves to live out the rest of her life with care, peace, and hopefully some ease. Hopefully we can make this happen for her, together!
Thank you so much!
