Meet Diego - The Fighter Who Deserves a Chance

Diego is a 6-year-old dog who found himself in our care under heart-wrenching circumstances. His previous owners, overwhelmed by life's demands, couldn't give him the love and care he so desperately needed. When Diego came to us, he was a heartbreaking sight - emaciated, neglected, and in dire need of immediate medical attention. You could count his ribs, see his hip bones protruding, and notice the painful calluses on the back of his knees. His eyes told a story of suffering, but his spirit remained unbroken.

Diego's path to recovery is a challenging one, but with your support, we can give him the life he truly deserves. Diego's resilience and his capacity to love shine through, even after the neglect he's endured. In his foster home, he's slowly but surely coming out of his shell. He plays with toys, enjoys his meals, and grows more attached to his foster momma with each passing day. He's proving that, with care and compassion, he can thrive and be the joyful, affectionate companion he was meant to be.

This estimate reflects the cost of Diegos care assuming his blood test results come back negative, if he is positive for pancreas problems he will unfortunately need to take medication for the rest of his life. This will only increase the cost of care for Diego. We intend to raise extra funds for Diegos future family to support this cost of care.
