Help Dillon Heal: Orthopedic and Cognitive Support

Hello all!! Thank you in advance for any support that you can give and for sharing this with others!! As many of you know, I always adopt older rescue dogs & currently have 2. My older pup, Dillon is about 15. I adopted him at approx 10.5 years as a companion for my dearly departed other older rescue, Chance, as he was having separation anxiety after my first rescue, Milton, passed away! Dillon is having a lot of orthopedic issues, in addition to his cognitive decline, making caring for him quite challenging (and expensive)! He basically can’t be left alone at this point, and of course, I work full time running a DOE contracted CBO 3K and PreK in the Bronx projects. That’s a whole other “GoFundMe” lol!

I was in the vet’s office the other day making yet another appointment for him to have an exam/consult to maybe start acupuncture, and they unexpectedly asked me for a deposit. My friend who was with me offered to help, and while I declined, it occurred to me that I should be reaching out. So many people I know love animals, me (I hope - at least sometimes ha) & are always thanking me for helping and supporting them in various ways - and I am so very grateful! I like to be the “helper” and do not like to ask anyone for anything!! However, I do believe that it is a sign of strength to ask for help when one needs it, and we truly do.
