Rebuild Hope for Gaza’s Children and My Family

Our Story
My name is Dina Ramadan Okasha, a 25-year-old mother, teacher, and displaced resident of Gaza’s Jabalia camp. My family of 10 and I have faced unimaginable hardships due to the ongoing war. The destruction has stripped us of our home, business, and all sources of income, forcing us to seek shelter in refugee tents. Today, I’m reaching out to ask for your help to rebuild our lives, support displaced children, and escape the endless cycle of war in Gaza.

Our Journey Through Displacement
When the war began, my family and I were forced to flee northern Gaza, leaving everything behind. Before this, I owned and managed the Masaq Educational Center, a beacon of hope for our community. Tragically, the center was completely destroyed during the conflict.

We were displaced to Rafah, where we lived in refugee tents with hundreds of other families. Despite our suffering, I established an educational tent to ensure children could continue learning. After being displaced yet again, this time to Deir al-Balah, we created a second tent, serving nearly 200 boys and girls, divided by age and education levels.

Our small team of four young volunteers—Rima (23), Sarah (21), Ghazal (20), and myself—works tirelessly without pay, dedicating ourselves to these children despite the overwhelming challenge
What Your Support Can Achieve

We urgently need financial support to continue our mission and rebuild our lives. Here’s how your contributions will be used:

1. Basic Needs for the Children
○ Winter clothing, stationery (pens, notebooks, books), and recreational toys.
○ Meals and proper shelter to protect them from Gaza’s harsh climate.
2. Support for Our Volunteer Team
○ Covering basic expenses for four dedicated volunteers who have worked tirelessly since the start of the war.
3. Rebuilding Our Lives and Business
○ My family of 10 needs food, clothing, and other essentials to survive.
○ We hope to leave Gaza and start anew, far from the horrors of war.
○ Funds will help rebuild my educational project to continue serving children and the community.
4. Travel and Relocation Expenses
○ Supporting my family’s journey outside Gaza to seek safety and stability.

Before the War
Before the crisis, my life revolved around my family and my small business, the Masaq Educational Center. It was more than just a livelihood; it was a beacon of hope and stability for us and our community. The center offered education and opportunities to local children, while providing for my own family.

My children had the chance to dream, to attend school, and to believe in a brighter future built on hard work and resilience. Like many in Gaza, I held onto hope despite the hardships, trusting that our perseverance would carry us through.

  • After the War
Everything we had built was destroyed. The Masaq Educational Center, once a symbol of hope, lies in ruins. With it went our income and the security that allowed us to care for our children and contribute to our community.

Now, every day is a battle to meet basic needs. We struggle to find food, clean water, and shelter, living in refugee tents that barely shield us from the harsh elements. My children’s education has been disrupted, and their once-bright dreams have dimmed under the weight of our struggles.

The emotional toll is immense. Yet, even amidst this devastation, we are determined to rebuild—for our family, for the displaced children we serve, and for the hope of a better future.

Why Your Help Matters
Our situation grows more desperate with each passing day. Without support, the children in our care risk losing the chance to learn and grow. My family struggles to meet even the most basic needs. Your kindness can provide not just material support but hope and a chance at a better future.

We are committed to transparency and accountability. Every dollar raised will be allocated as follows:

● 30% for children's needs (clothes, stationery, toys).
● 20% for volunteers’ expenses (transport, food).
● 30% to rebuild our life outside Gaza (food, shelter, travel).
● 20% to restart the educational project (materials, infrastructure).
