Help disabled traveler fight discrimination

On Monday 5 December 2022, I boarded a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne Airport (Australia) to Helsinki (Finland), where I live as a permanent resident. I was thrown off that flight shortly after being transferred into my seat for being a solo disabled traveller. Qatar Airways have finally admitted fault, just now, three (3) months after the incident occurred. Hence, I am still out of pocket tens of thousands of dollars. The initial refund only covered the first week of accommodation, which was spent trying to meet with Qatar officials and bring this matter to a close as soon as possible. Unfortuntely they were not interested in resolving the matter at that stage and flights at that time were also $9,000, so there was no way I could get back to Finland before Christmas and the New Year period. So, the search for lawyers to help bring this matter to a resolution began. Due to several limitations, e.g. income assessments and residency status, I have been unable to obtain free disability discrimination legal advice and services.

With the initial GoFundMe donations I was able to obtain a flight home on a different airline, but are unable to take these flight until I have a lawyer/law firm willing to take on this case and one that I feel comfortable and confident they are able to win the compensation I am look to seek for the discrimination experienced.

So, with your further donations I'd like to raise funds to help pay for a new lawyer to take the necessary steps to obtain the desired compensation for the discrimination experienced. This aim will not only help myself but also other disabled people travelling in the future.

I have flown countless times over the past 20+ years on my own, and this is the first time I have been prevented from flying due to my disability. Not allowing a disabled person to fly without a justified reason is discrimination - and Qatar Airways did not justify their reasoning.
