Help me and my cats stay housed

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Em and I am a nd disabled woman who works full time with a chronic pain disorder.

I have lived in an extremely unsafe, unfit for human habitation accomodation for on and off five years now and after pushing for maintenance finally after years of no action, I have received an eviction notice.

The maintenance in question is quite severe. This includes having had no hot water in the kitchen for the duration of living there until December of last year. A window painted closed in the hallway since 'repair'. Tiles falling off the wall in the bathroom and flooding to our downstairs neighbour after any shower (the bath does not work). There is a hole in the living room ceiling that collapsed (pictured)
breaking a computer and this has never been fixed. The letting agent's solution has been to send someone onto the roof to clear guttering of leaves. Half of the flat has become unusable due to the cold and moisture from this hole so I mostly stick to just my bedroom now.

Other issues corroborated by my bluesky account and friends who can attend to it that for 14 years the entire building has lacked a working fire system. The alarm was turned on after all these years and began intensely throughout all three flats in the building but it was discovered they had all been wired to appear as one zone, making the fire box downstairs essentially useless. They could not find where the error was despite calling out a maintenance working five times. This alarm has rang every day at 10pm for two weeks approximately since we received our eviction notice. After complaints the agents response was to simply turn off the sound of the alarm. It solely rings out downstairs two storeys below me while I sleep totally unaware of it. This has been terrifying to discover and has severely impacted my mental and physical health.

As I fight this eviction to temporarily stay housed I'm asking for anyone who is able to support me and my family through this ridiculously stressful time. Below is a message from our very aggressive letting agent demanding she enter the property at 8pm ostensibly to fix this alarm (that bear in mind had simply been off for years and now was silenced) while I was at work late in the evening with zero notice.

I hate to have to ask for support and wish my situation was different but I am in debt due to being out of work during covid and so must meet £1200 in arrears for my flat, and also save £1050 for a deposit on a new place. With my wage and hours this is simply not possible for me to achieve alone. Anyone who follows me online or knows me knows my cats are my entire life and I would do anything for them. I am the archetypal cat lady and they enrich my life so much by being there, especially as I am bound to my home very frequently. I do not want them to live in this unsafe home anymore than I want myself to and would be eternally grateful for any help or shares to remotely help me to achieve this.
