Children with special needs in GAZA need your support

Children in Gaza are alone. We can still help the children who are displaced or have disabilities. But they need you!

I am collecting this donation campaign for my disabled son, Anas Muammar Abu Tabikh, who is 15 years old, and for all the disabled children of Gaza who do not have money to provide for their needs of food, medicine, clothes, and even Pampers.

Dear friends,

I am reaching out to you today with a plea for your support for the families and children who have been affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza. My name is Israa, and you may recognize me from my attempts to help little Joud, who was successfully reunited with his mother thanks to your support. 

I'm reaching out to you once again for your kindness and compassion. I'm a journalist, mother, and wife who has witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of this war on innocent lives, particularly those of children with disabilities, like my son, Anas.

Our lives were forever changed when we were forced to flee to Deir al-Balah after our homes in Gaza City were destroyed. The challenges we face have multiplied, especially for Anas, who battles a rare condition that affects his perception and movement.

Before the war, Anas found comfort and care in a special institution, but it was destroyed, and he was left alone. One day, he wandered away from our makeshift shelter, and we searched frantically for over 20 hours, fearing the worst as the conflict raged around us.

Miraculously, we found him, cold, hungry, and terrified, but alive. However, countless other children with disabilities remain vulnerable, and their needs are overlooked amidst the chaos of war. They deserve safety, dignity, and a chance at a better future.

Your generosity can make a world of difference for families like mine, struggling to rebuild shattered lives and provide for children with special needs. Your donations will go towards essential supplies, medical care, and support services for those who have been most profoundly impacted by this conflict. We will help them obtain food, medicine, and clothing, and there are also those who need Pampers. I want to be able to support the many displaced and orphan children who I see on a daily basis, but I need your help. Your support makes the difference they need. 

I am sharing with you photos of Anas before the war, as a testament to the love and care he once knew, juxtaposed against the harsh reality of his current existence. Let us come together as a global community to offer hope and healing to those who need it most.
