Sponsor a Child with Supervised Distance Learning
COVID-19 Is Critically Impacting Education in Sonoma County
Sebastopol Center for the Arts is developing an onsite, Supervised Distance Learning Program to support Sonoma County families.
Due to Covid19, Sonoma County children are currently no longer in their classrooms and are receiving their education at home via computers provided by our public schools. This poses a big problem for families whose parents must continue to work outside of the home, particularly for lower income families with essential service jobs.
Who is minding younger children while their parents are at work? Who is helping children with their computer based instruction and the technical
problems that go with it?
Students struggling with unsupervised learning need guidance, support, social connection, and enrichment activities, especially our most underserved, low socioeconomic status (SES), ELL, and bilingual Spanish speaking students
From November 2nd we offer supervised distance learning at the Center for the Arts. Children will be encouraged in their learning and offered a balanced program of supervised activities, outdoor and or art related.
Please donate to make this happen and to allow scholarships to those who need it most.
We need donors to sponsor students to attend our NEW supervised distance learning program. You will give a child in our community a real chance to thrive educationally and socially. If you want to be part of the solution, here is your chance right now. No donation is ever too small.
Whole or partial sponsorship options are available. Once again, no donation is ever too small, and we’re grateful for ALL of them.
Please sponsor:
1 child for half a day: $25
1 child for 1 day: $50
1 child for a week: $250
1 child for a 6-week session: $1,500
1 classroom: a group of 12 kids for a week: $3,000
12 children for a 6-week session: $18,000
All children in our community deserve to be successful in school during these challenging times. We need your help to make this happen.
