Help Divya and Vidit Rebuild After Fire

We're raising funds for Divya and Vidit, two tenants who were displaced by the fire that destroyed East Bay Booksellers. This fire also destroyed their home and all of their belongings. It will take at least a year to undo the damage caused by the fire. The funds will go towards replacing their furniture, clothing, and other belongings, as well as to moving costs and rent while they figure out their next steps.

Divya and Vidit were the first people to notice the fire in the early hours of the morning. They called 911 and woke up all their neighbors. Had it not been for their quick thinking, the situation could have been exponentially worse.

Divya and Vidit are both unable to work as they navigate this situation, so this fundraiser will also help support day-to-day expenses while they get back on their feet.
