HELP DIYA GET TO SAFETY

Donation protected
My name is Diaa El-Din Madi. I am a university student, a 21-year-old visual artist, from the Gaza Strip, specifically the Al-Rimal neighborhood in Gaza. I study interior design in the Department of Architecture and Arts at the university, and I work in the field of fine arts. Since my childhood, I have been drawing beautiful landscapes in Gaza and the world with my brush, and I embody their beauty and spirit. In my beautiful artistic paintings, which are not devoid of beautiful details, I participated in local and international exhibitions around the world, and I worked on several artistic workshops, including drawing about combating violence against women and children, and about art therapy.

I displayed my paintings in more than 35 countries around the world, and I represented Palestine artistically in several countries in international exhibitions, even though I was not able to share my paintings in an audience, because my paintings depicted Diya while he was under a stifling siege. He was unable to travel to participate, but the wide walls did not prevent me from displaying my art. mine and share it with the world

‏In the months preceding the war, I had established my own studio, and I used to receive foreigners, friends, and workshops there. It was also my own studio. It was overlooking the beautiful sea. I used to paint in front of the clear sky and in front of the sound of the calm waves. I have not forgotten these moments, but it was bombed and completely destroyed, including the tools in it. And artistic paintings. You killed my innocent paintings that embody the soul for me, but the war did not give us even a simple life, which is the right of every human being in this world. This world has become desolate, where we see death every day and not even it can save our children.

Now I live in Al-Mawasi, the so-called humanitarian zone. Last month, I was staying in Rafah, but Israeli ground forces came to the city. So I evacuated the new area, the Mawasi area where an Israeli official designated the “humanitarian zone.” But there is constant bombing and fighting. I want to evacuate as quickly as possible. We are currently staying in the no cost zone - in the middle of the desert. In the cost-free zone, anyone can enter, so there is a high risk of fighting. If I move to a paid place, I can reduce the risks. But I can't afford the cost of evacuation. Can you donate to help cover my evacuation expenses? Costs include $600 for transportation and $1,000 to secure a place at the evacuation site for one month, which we have to replenish every month to stay safe. Since I was a 21-year-old university student before the war started, I was an aspiring painter. I started drawing when I was a child and then in middle school, expressing the problems and suffering of Gaza, combating violence against women and children, and also the beauty of Gaza through my art. My paintings were honored in Gaza, and I had the opportunity to hold exhibitions and participate in international shows. After graduating from university, I planned to work with my classmates to convey the realities of Gaza through our art. However, everything was lost when the war started on 7
‏October.

‏I also lost, since the beginning of the war, my very close friend who was always with me. Their house was bombed above their heads without warning, and her entire family was killed. They were all innocent civilians. My friend was also martyred while filling water with his mother and brother on the roof.

‏A house, and they did not do anything either. They were just wanting to get drinking water. They were directly bombed with army artillery at that time, and a few days later their house was bombed, and more of his brothers were martyred as well. Later, more of my friends were killed, some of whom were killed, some of whom I did not know news about, and some of whom died of hunger in North Gaza and now I was left alone during the war. They were all brutally killed. Despite all the sadness that fills our hearts, you still remain

‏We have a positive outlook for the future.

‏These are pictures of destruction in the area in which I live. It was completely wiped off the face of the earth. This was my beautiful area in which I live. I did not know its features. Everything was destroyed. My house, my private studio, my paintings, and my artistic tools. There was nothing truly left of me. My dreams were killed as well. I did not know that this was the path I take every day to go. The house is destroyed, as if a nuclear bomb had wiped out the entire area. Because I live near Al-Shifa Hospital, it was completely wiped out.
