Hi, my name is Steven Borden, also known as DJ Steve Nice. I’ve been passionate about DJing since high school. Alongside DJing, I enjoy cooking and playing disc golf. Recently, I faced a significant setback that has impacted my ability to continue doing what I love most—DJing. I'm reaching out for your support to help me get back on track.

My Story

- **Passion for DJing**:

- DJing has been one of my favorite pastimes since high school.

- I’ve DJ’d at backyard BBQs, birthday parties, graduation parties, and small corporate events.

- Mixing my favorite songs with requested playlists from party hosts brings me immense joy.

The Setback:

- I was recently locked up for reckless driving and lost my pickup truck to auction.

- The tow truck company or the police stole several items from my vehicle, including:

- D&G aviators ($390)

- Wallet

- Handmade jewelry from Venice Beach

- Lenovo laptop

- Ring of keys

- 3-ton jack

- Seat pad

- I couldn’t afford to pay the $2,300 to get my vehicle out of impound.

- Being incarcerated put me in the streets, and I lost a lot of my belongings, including my DJ equipment, due to falling behind on my storage unit payments.

Impact of the Loss

- My DJ equipment was more than just gear; it was a part of who I am.

- I bought my turntables at 17, making minimum wage ($5.15/hr).

- My Rane 62 mixer was acquired through a 24-month payment plan at Guitar Center.

- Losing this equipment feels like losing a piece of my soul.
