On September 27, 2022, Dmytro Mazuryk was in a catastrophic semi truck accident. Early Tuesday morning, not long after starting his shift, he collided with another semi that was parked in the middle of I-94 by an impaired driver.
When the officers showed up at the scene, Dmytro had to be extricated from his truck. His condition was critical, and he was in and out of consciousness. He was taken to a local hospital, but was flown to Chicago shortly after. At first, we didn't know if Dmytro would make it. Then, we got word that his condition had stabilized, but both his legs might be lost. At this time, he's gone through multiple surgeries, and by the grace of God, he still has all his limbs. Only time will tell if Dmytro will sustain life-long disabilities and if he'll be able to walk normally again.
Dmytro has been a commercial driver for over 11 years. He comes to the states for months at a time to work to support his family in Ukraine.
Please say a prayer for him. If it's on your heart, please donate to help him cover his medical expenses and continue supporting his family while he recovers.
