Help dogs at a former dog meat factory in Korea
Donación protegida
My name is Tijmen Kivit, I am fundraising to improve the living conditions of dogs in the ARK shelter in South Korea.
What is the ARK shelter?
At a former dog meat factory in South Korea nearby Gyeyang Mountain, about 250 dogs have been rescued. 151 dogs are still left in precarious conditions due to a lack of funding and a taboo against (large) dog adoption in South Korea. The dogs are still stuck in the horrible place where they were found. The dogs can barely go out for a walk due to a lack of money and volunteers and are stuck in cages, sometimes in freezing temperatures. We need your help to buy food, blankets and cover veterinary and adoption costs for these dogs. All the money raised will be donated to the ARK shelter seen in the video.
Personal Experience
I have personally adopted one dog (Nari) from this shelter after a volunteering experience. Seeing him adjust to his new life and freedom has been a rewarding experience. However, I felt I must do something to help the many dogs that still remain at the shelter. Many of Nari’s friends are still there, and when winter comes around temperature will drop far below zero. We need your help to improve the living conditions of these dogs while they wait for a forever home.
Funding Details
All donations received through this campaign will be withdrawn to my personal bank account in the Netherlands and then sent to the ARK shelter in South Korea using (Transfer)Wise. We will provide updates on what is being done with the raised funds.
