Help Daniel get back on his feet

As some of you know, my father Daniel Mansker suffered from a Stroke on Monday, September 13th. My mother Katherine Flores was lucky enough to have found him and was able to call for help. When my dad arrived at Twin cities hospital they had concluded that he had suffered a stroke due to a high blood pressure spike. That night he was transferred to Sierra Vista San Luis Obispo to be treated by the stroke and neuro team they had there. My family and I knew it would be a long road to recovery and were prepared to do anything we could to get him healthy and get back on his feet, and then we received a call the next morning. My dad had not only had a stroke the previous day, but he suffered a grand mal seizure that lasted so long that the doctors had no choice but to intubate and attach Daniel to a ventilator. Because of the seizure being so extensive the doctors chose to keep him sedated and on a ventilator for two days to give his body some rest. After those two days, the sedation was lifted and we waited about a day or two for my dad to wake up on his own. Day by day he started to respond to painful stimulation but not many verbal commands. By the grace of God and because of all the amazing prayers that everyone has given to him, today my dad was dropped from the intensive care unit and has been working with many therapists such as speech and physical therapy to become a healthy man again. He is awake and my mother Katherine goes to see him every day to comfort him and help with his recovery. Even though all of his injuries my dad has not lost his sense of humor and continues to gain strength every day. Although my father is doing better he will have to be released to a rehabilitation home to recover fully, Meaning he will continue to be out of work. Many of you know that this long process of recovery will come with countless overwhelming medical bills. We have asked for your help in prayers and we are so thankful for them.
