Help Don Juneau Get Evicted (Spokane, WA)

Don Juneau is in a hole - car accident last year, followed by an extended recovery which ate up his sick leave and FMLA. Another medical issue last September left him unemployed, and while recovering new medical issues cropped up. He applied for disability, burning through his savings and retirement to try and make it through.

Didn't happen. He just got denied today, but was out of money for rent after April, and is now being evicted. That's a done deal at this point.

He has a temporary place to stay, and local resources after that - but he needs to move out and store everything until he has stable housing again... and *you* can help!

He needs to hire a mover and rent a storage unit in Spokane, WA. Quick searching shows the move might run up to $2000, and the storage $140 monthly (2-bedroom apartment, with his brother's belongings too - brother is developmentally disabled a currently in an adult family home, and isn't in danger of eviction.). So, just to be sure, the goal is $2500, and anything above that (or surplus to the moving expenses) will be allocated to storage, or to the move to stable housing - no luxuries, personal items, concerts, parties or Ferraris.

The timeframe is tight - the eviction prevention assistance that was approved fell through, and the hearing (that will likely result in the actual eviction notice) is Tuesday, 3 September. Actual move-out will commence on Friday, 6 September. (It looked like he would have more time, but was informed of the assistance denial Tuesday, 27 August.) So, hard deadline is 6 September, but earlier will help in reserving the movers and storage. And the fundraising will stay live afterwards, if only to be sure of storage payments.

If the goal is met early, he can start moving early, too!

Times are hard now, but if you can help my friend out of his apartment, and into storage... well, his belongings, storage doesn't allow residency. :D He could really use the assist, folks. All he needs is some big strong movers with a big st... a big truck, and a big-enough storage unit.
