Help Donald with his unexpected medical process

Hi, my name is Joanne Silva, and I am fundraising on behalf of Donald J. Todd. I am his partner of 20 years. We have known each other for over forty years. I am asking for help on behave of Donald's situation.

On January 6th 2022, Donald had a procedure done at Garnett Hospital in Middletown, NY, to have a stent put in for a clogged bile duct. Four weeks after this, Donald was experiencing stomach pain. His Doctor said it was probably medication he was taking and to eliminate it. The doctor wanted Donald to make an appointment in months' time. Unfortunately, Donald's stomach pains continued to get worse to the point that he couldn't eat, sleep, or move around.

On February 7th, I took Donald to another one of his Doctors and was told to immediately take him to the emergency room. Donald was amitted and waiting for a hospital bed when he suffered a mini-stroke. They controlled his stroke and he was put in ICU. While Donald was in ICU his vitals were off the chart and his stomach swelled. They put in multiple drains to release the fluid in his stomach and the bile coming from his organs. Donald suffered from a bacterial infection that went throughout his entire body.

On January 14th, Donald was transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Hospital for exploratory surgery to be done on January 15th. Coming out of surgery, Donald was placed on a respirator and I was told it would be "touch and go" from this point forward. Donald's gallbladder was gangrene and the source of the infection and was removed. Donald also had a perforated ulcer in his stomach that was patched.

As of this writing, Donald remains in Westchester Medical, trying to recover. Even with having insurance, there is going to be co-pays, deductibles, and other medical expenses that might not be covered. I am asking on behave of Donald for any donates to assist him going forward in handling his medical expenses.
