Help Donna Waddel get healthy!

Hi, I’m Thea and Donna Waddel is a very dear friend for many years!

 

Donna has been battling a very rare form of kidney disease for some time now. She has had chemo therapy and a complete life style change. She has been working very hard to get a transplant. She was recently placed as inactive on the transplant list because she was afraid to get vaccinated.

 

She did contracted Covid and pneumonia. Donna is currently in the hospital at Sutter North Bay in Fairfield. The decison to place Donna on the ventilator came very fast and unexpeted for her family. She was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, February 22nd and on Friday the 25th rushed into ICU.

 

Her daughters Nicole Bettencourt and Stephani Bettencourt have been holding down the fort while she heals. Donna has been so full of stress between her health, her job and everthing in between. She is a god loving woman who has truly blossomed into herself. She has worked at Meeks Lumber forover 25 years. Because she is unable to speak or sign documents, she will have a long period of waiting for disability to kick in. Nicole is hoping she is on a leave of absence. Hopefully, this fundraiser will relieve some financial stress from Donna when she wakes up.

 

Donna has 5 grandchildren ages 12, 10, 8, 6 And 2. Those are her daughters and grandkids in the picture. She also has 4 sisters.

 

Nicole and Stepani are hoping to use some of these funds to purchase things she will need for after care… Such as an adjustable hospital bed, if needed. Help with any copayments for medica services. To get her house deep cleaned and setup for sanitization supplies to help protect from getting Covid again. Also, to help Donna with any expenses to keep her home until she can return to work.

 

 

Donna is currently still on a ventilator and a feeding tube. She is able to respond to the nurses but, is still heavily sedated.

 

Her family and friends love her very much and just want her to come home with as little stress as possible.
