Help Donya George BEAT Cancer!

Last week, our beloved friend Donya was diagnosed with cancer. This shocking diagnosis initially originated as ovarian cancer but has spread to her peritoneal lining and a few lymph nodes. Having peritoneal cancer is considered rare and advance stage. She will undergo invasive surgery next week followed by chemotherapy in her journey to fight this serious illness.

Her hospital stay is estimated to be between 6-10 days including 1-2 days in the ICU.

Then Donya will begin chemotherapy treatment 6 weeks after surgery for 6 months or even longer.

Donya is a wife and a mom to three amazing kids. She is a daughter, a sister and a beloved friend. All who know her, love her and her bright spirit.

Donya has been working as a Tennis Pro Shop attendant at Blackhawk County Club since 2018. She loves her job and the members love her. She always greets every member with her beautiful smile, positive attitude and makes everyone feel at home. She has a way of making everyone who comes to the villas feel part of the tennis community, and always exceeding members’ expectations.

In response to the many members' inquiries, and compassionate friends and staff this GoFundMe has been set up on her behalf by friends as a place to start.
