Help Dorian make an album with Lumineers producer

Hello!! A few easy questions for you: Have you heard the song Ho Hey by the Lumineers? How about the song Mess is Mine or Georgia by Vance Joy? How about Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan? All of these songs (along with their respective albums) were produced by Ryan Hadlock.

I have the amazing opportunity to make a 10 song album with this talented producer and I’m asking for your help to fund it. It costs an insane amount of money, but it is my lifelong dream coming true. Please donate what you can and help me achieve this dream. So, here’s the whole story (condensed)! Back in February of 2023, I sat with the plant medicine Ayahuasca and it changed my life forever. One of the biggest takeaways from the experience was that music is not something I do, it is what I am. I am music. That’s when the songwriting started to happen. The day after I was home from the retreat, a song popped out of me (titled You Saw My Soul). I shared it with several of the people whom I sat with in the ayahuasca ceremony and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Fast forward to November of 2023– 14 more songs have surfaced in the same way in that they’ve just flowed out of me and 2 of them are now published in the community songbook. This community I speak of is in Baltimore, MD and is probably around 100 people strong. They congregate regularly to sing songs together and sometimes sit with different plant medicines i.e. psilocybin, ayahuasca, mescaline. I’ve found a home in this community. I often go to song circles and medicine ceremonies and share my songs. It has become the highlight of my life.

 So, in October 2023, I sent my music to several producers. Ryan Hadlock was my moon shot. My furthest reach. And sure enough, he said he felt a spiritual connection to my music and would love to make a 10 song record with me. This is the producer of Lumineers first album, Vance Joy’s first album, Brandi Carlile, Zach Bryan and so many other incredible artists. This is my big break. This is the moment that my music gets produced the way I hear it in my head. With a real, truly credentialed artist to direct and produce it along with me. There’s a catch though. Ryan Hadlock is IN DEMAND. He’s a GRAMMY award winning producer and it costs a tremendous amount of money to work with him. But I would be remiss—and cowering in fear—if I let the cost of this endeavor stop me from striving to achieve my life long dreams of pursuing music professionally. I have felt in my bones for decades, but even more so since the Ayahuasca retreat in February, that performing music is my true calling in life. Well here it is. Staring me in the face. So here I am, asking you to help me get this done. It’s a lot. It’s a huge undertaking. But I feel in my heart that this is what needs to happen. So, I’m asking you to give what you can to help me make this life long dream come true. Whether it’s $10 or $1,000- thank you. Thank you for supporting the dream. Thank you for believing in me. I won’t let you down. I will give it everything I’ve got and you will be responsible for jumpstarting my musical career. As of now, they have me on the books to go and record starting on January 21st, 2024. It will be 10 days at the beautiful destination studio called Bear Creek Studios (Woodinville, WA) where Ryan Hadlock lives and works out of. The product that I would have to show for this fundraising effort, would be worth all the money and more. A 10 song album produced by one of my favorite producers of all time. His body of work speaks for itself. And I get to be a name on that list? The places that this album will take me will transform my life completely. And I’m going to make sure it does.
