Help Doris Dillingham Gooding Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

My name is Helen Gooding Leupold and my sister, Caroline, and I are doing this GoFundMe for our cousin Doris Dillingham Gooding. I live in central NC and Doris lives in Benardsville, NC in the Stoney Fork area, right outside of Asheville.

The floods and mudslides from Hurricane Helene in western NC swept Doris’ house off its foundation and down the mountain about 100 feet or so. Her home and possessions are destroyed. This has been particularly hard on Doris since she lost her husband, David Gooding, 3 years ago, and this was the home he had built for them. Unfortunately, she did not have flood insurance since they were not in a flood zone, and her insurance company has denied her claim.

Doris is an amazing, kind-hearted, and giving person. She is a social worker at ABCCM Transformation Village. She is always putting others' needs first and is always thankful for the blessings she has.

She is grateful to have amazing support from her church, community, family, and friends, but does need the kindness of others at this time.

Please help if you can and please keep Doris in your thoughts. All proceeds will go directly to Doris to help her establish a new home.
