Help Dottie Receive Emergency Kidney Treatment

Update: Sadly, Sam and her husband had to say goodbye to Dottie last week. We thank you all so much for your support.

Update: Dottie was released from the hospital on Friday but is back again after her condition deteriorated on Tuesday (2/28). They will be doing more thorough testing to determine what's causing the acute kidney distress and treating her symptoms. The cost of this additional hospitalization will be about $5000, so the fundraising goal has been updated to reflect that.

Samantha and Dottie are a beautiful team. Anyone who sees them together is a witness to their special bond. They inspire many people with their teamwork in daily life, during their travels and adventures, and when competing in canine Nosework.

Dottie has been dealing with kidney disease for some time and has recently taken a turn. She's being hospitalized for the next two nights to receive treatment, then will go to a specialist next week for further testing and evaluation. The cost of this care, along with other events going on for Sam's family, is a burden that we don't want her to have to bear alone while worrying about her four-legged soul mate.
