On February 17, 2021 Double Rainbow Equestrian Center suffered a catastrophic structural collapse that will severely impact their business over the next several months. Double Rainbow is more than just a horse farm or a riding facility. They have shared their love for horses through lessons, clinics, and competitions for over 35 years! And their covered arena was more than just a place to ride. It was a place for our children to grow up, gain confidence, and learn to care for something other than themselves. It was also Double Rainbow’s livelihood. My girls grew up under that arena. And I became a kid again under that arena. Like so many others, Double Rainbow Farm holds a very special place in my heart. They have helped our community in so many ways.
Now Double Rainbow needs our help!
Insurance will cover some of the costs of replacing the covered arena, but it will nowhere near cover all the costs of keeping the barn open until it’s fixed. Just the overhead alone (per month) is around 35K – which includes, electric, water, feed/hay, paying barn hands, upkeep, maintenance, etc. Lesson fees help cover these costs. No lessons, no income. And all lessons will have to be cancelled until it is safe to return.
