Help Doug Edlund in his Colon Cancer fight

Doug Edlund was diagnosed with colon cancer in October 2019 after a long battle with Crohn’s Disease. Doug bravely faced his first surgery to remove part of his colon and began chemotherapy. He will be facing an upcoming surgery to remove the entire colon and additional chemotherapy, and is unable to work.
Doug of Spokane Valley WA (U-Hi, 1986) , his wife Kristi Green-Edlund of (Mead HS, 1987), their daughter (19) and son (12) now live in Coeur D’Alene Idaho, and are unsure if Doug will receive SSDI or SSI. While living on Kristi’s single income, the family is facing increased financial pressures and mounting medical expenses.
In starting this Go Fund Me for Doug, we hope to raise $25,000 or more, to help show love and support for the Edlund family, so they can focus on Doug’s fight and healing, verses the burdens of financial stress and medical expense hardship.
While there is a wonderful dinner and silent auction underway (info below), many who care about the Edlund family have expressed interest in a Go Fund Me, as they don’t live locally, or are unable to attend.
