Help Dougie Scott beat Cancer

Douglas Scott (Dougie, to all who know and love him), a father of 2 kids and grandfather of 4 was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in June 2011. And while this may, for some, been a devastating blow, Dougie took it in stride and continued living his life, even playing soccer every Saturday his lifelong passion that helped him achieve a soccer scholarship to Clemson University (1974-1979).
Dougie his 2 sons and his grandson!
Over the past seven years, unfortunately, his health has deteriorated. Under doctor supervision he has tried many therapies in addition to radiation treatment. We came to find out he was severely affected by the radiation treatment he underwent and,as a result, is no longer a candidate for chemotherapy. On February 21, 2019 after waking up and finding he was unable to walk, Dougie underwent emergency surgery on February 22, 2019 to remove a tumor found on his spine.
Time is running out
After much prayer, discussion and research, our family’s wish is that he partake in a personalized treatment plan at the Hope 4 Cancer treatment Center (www.hope4cancer.com) located in Cancun, Mexico. This has been an amazingly successful program which has seen many final stage cancer patients’ symptoms diminish and prognoses improve. This facility accommodates terminal cancer patients whose oncologists are at a loss for “what’s next”. We want to provide our loving husband/father/grandfather a fighting chance! We pray that you can help offset the cost of this $50,000 by graciously donating on this gofundme page we have created.
There are no words to properly convey our heartfelt appreciation, but we thank you from the bottom of our hearts because every dollar ensures Dougie has a fighting chance at life.
We sincerely appreciate your help,
The Scott family
