I’ve spent my career shaping health systems—but now, I’m stepping into spaces that shape policy at the source.

I’m proud to share that I’ve been accepted into the 2025 Healing Politics Campaign School for Nurses and Midwives! It is a national program designed to prepare nurses and midwives to lead in civic and political life. This exciting opportunity is about learning what leadership in public life actually takes, from the inside out.

I want to understand the process of running for office. I want to share my perspective as a nurse and public health leader. I want to explore how nurses—especially those rooted in equity—can lead at the local, state, and national level. And I want to make sure our voices are present in the rooms where decisions are made.

It’s why I created VitalVoice Nursing—because the voice of nursing isn’t just important. It’s vital.

The first step in the program is fundraising, an important aspect of the full campaign process.
